BTS member V, currently serving in the Military Police Special Task Force (SDT) since his enlistment in December 2023, recently provided fans with an update on his military service. His message, posted on Weverse on March 3, revealed not only his achievements but also his thoughts on his experience so far, giving fans a rare glimpse into his life in the military.
In his heartfelt message, V shared that he had been promoted to Sergeant Second Class, a significant milestone in his service. He expressed pride in his progress, stating, "I've been promoted to 2nd class sergeant. I'm second in rank here now, but soon, I'll be first in the pecking order." His words showed his determined and competitive spirit, something fans have always admired about him.
One of the biggest highlights of his message was his "special warrior" achievement, a prestigious title given to soldiers who excel in a series of rigorous tests, including physical fitness, combat skills, endurance, and overall performance. V revealed, "I recently became a special warrior. I worked out hard. I pushed myself, and at one point, I even injured my ribs. But I’m back now." This dedication demonstrates his resilience and commitment to excelling in everything he does, even in military training.
Beyond his achievements, V also shared some personal details about his daily life in the army. He mentioned that he is currently on a diet and now weighs 70 kg. Interestingly, he noted that his sleep schedule has significantly improved, saying, "I don’t have insomnia here. As soon as I lie down, I pass out. But waking up in the morning is still difficult." Fans who are familiar with V’s past struggles with sleep found comfort in knowing that he is now able to rest well, even in the demanding environment of military service.
Despite adapting well to military life, V made it clear that he deeply misses performing and being with ARMY. He admitted to watching a lot of BTS concert videos, explaining, "I miss ARMY a lot, so I watch a lot of concert videos. I want to dance. I want to sing." This longing highlights how much he cherishes his career as an artist and his connection with fans.
Additionally, he mentioned keeping up with content featuring his fellow BTS members, showing his continued support for them. "Lately, I’ve been watching Treasure Island. Actor Park Hyung Sik is really cool. I also watched Jung Ho Seok's I Live Alone. I like him." His lighthearted comment about J-Hope’s appearance on the show made fans smile, as it showed his warm and affectionate bond with his group members.
V concluded his message with a simple but touching declaration of love for ARMY, writing, "Anyway, I miss you! I love you!" His sincerity and affection for his fans continue to shine through, even while he is away serving his country.
Fans eagerly anticipate his return, which is expected on June 10, 2025. Until then, ARMY remains supportive, cheering him on as he completes his military duty with the same dedication and passion he has always shown in everything he does.
