Byun Woo Seok and IU’s ‘21st Century Grand Lady’ Targets 2025 Release, Awaiting Final Schedule.

The highly anticipated drama "21st Century Grand Lady," featuring Byun Woo-seok and IU, is now being considered for a 2025 release.

This project has garnered significant attention, reuniting Byun Woo-seok, who gained immense popularity with "Lovely Runner," and IU, acclaimed for her roles in "Moon Lovers," "My Mister," and "Hotel Del Luna."

Initially, Kakao Entertainment hinted at a possible 2024 premiere on MBC, heightening audience expectations. However, the drama was absent from MBC's 2025 lineup announcement, leading to confusion.

Subsequently, on February 18, Kakao Entertainment included "21st Century Grand Lady" in its 2025 lineup, though the exact broadcast schedule remains unconfirmed.

An MBC representative clarified, "‘21st Century Grand Lady’ (working title) is being prepared with the aim of a 2025 broadcast, but as of now, the schedule is undecided."

Set in a modern Korean constitutional monarchy, the drama explores a cross-status romance between Seong Hee-joo, a chaebol family member viewed merely as a commoner, and Lee An Daegun, a prince unable to claim anything as his own.

Byun Woo-seok portrays Lee An Daegun, while IU takes on the role of Seong Hee-joo, the ambitious second daughter of Korea’s leading conglomerate family.

Fans eagerly await further updates on the official airing schedule of "21st Century Grand Lady."
